4 Short Poems about Jealousy, Because You're Already Enough
Jealousy is its own brand of poison. It stunts real growth, hinders creativity, dulls your shine, takes the wind out of your sails. Read these poems about jealousy and remember your own light: it can't be taken from you. Success is seeing someone else succeed and seeing the reflection of your own light shining back at you.
4 Poems about Jealousy to Remind You...
1. Only carry what's yours to carry...
You can’t take who I am
From me and make it
Who you are.
You would only be
Heavy with your
Cloak of Illusions.
Their light isn't an indicator of your shadow. It's an invitation for you to discover your own way to shine.
2. Your light isn't something anyone can steal...
You can't steal “my” thunder.
You can't take what can't
Be taken.
It is there,
It is not there.
It is not yours or mine to keep.
The light that you're worried about losing? That's a seed that can't be unplanted.
3. If it doesn't feel like love, it's a call for some...
If you see a wound,
Try not to stick your finger in it.
There is no balm like
4. You can't lose who you are...
If it can be taken from you, it was
Never the ultimate truth.
You can never lose what makes you
You.
Don’t worry about losing what you can’t lose. Don’t worry about taking what you can’t take.

Tell me:
Which of these poems did you need the most today?
Tell me in the comments. I read every single one, and I'd love to know!
With love,

I like them all but especially 1 and 4. Also I have turned them around to substitute I for You, You for Me etc. Struggling today with jealousy. It is an awful awful thing to carry and it comes when a person is not seeing their own light or when the light of another seems to pull everything towards it, leaving us standing outside in the cold shadow. Thanks very much indeed for these really pithy, exact and poetic writings xx
