5 Morning Affirmations for a Better World, from the Inside Out
Your story, your strength, your compassion, your passion, your perspective has the power to become someone else’s lifeline or lantern. These affirmations for a better world are from my new book, Morning Affirmations! They’ll encourage you to bring your natural brilliance wherever you go — it’s how you make a difference.
Yes, you CAN make a difference in the world, and in how your future plays out, by being concerned about how you do what you do.
I believe in what you can do because you can control how you do it, and why.
This belief became the foundation of my second book, Morning Affirmations: 200 Phrases for an Intentional and Openhearted Start to Your Day, which was just released last month.
Something else I believe:
You are here as you are to be here as you are. Sounds pretty simple; it is and it’s also profound when you hold this truth dear and act like you’re here on purpose, with purpose.
When you “step into your purpose,” so to speak, understanding and even reclaiming your ability to leave a mark on the world or contribute to a brighter reality, people around you notice. They may not see a change or comment on it, but they feel it.
Trust in the ripple effect of your energy.
To bolster your ability to leave a loving mark on the world, gift yourself a copy of Morning Affirmations. Consider it daily fuel, encouragement, and sustenance on the journey towards a better world, from the inside out — one thought at a time, one decision at a time, one step at a time.
Here are five affirmations for a better world borrowed from the book, in honor of what you’re here to do, be, and bring: light.
5 Affirmations for a Better World: From the Book, Morning Affirmations
1. I contribute to a loving world.
I don’t need more comfort or resources to leave a loving mark today. I radiate love until the world responds to me. I apply every ounce of desire I have to promote the reality I want to live in. Conscious contribution is my prerogative.

You don't need more comfort or resources to leave a loving mark today. You need to cultivate courageous compassion and a passion that's greater than doubt.
2. I shine because I must.
I was born to stand in the light, as a light. I accept my purpose and power to bring hope to the hopeless, love to the unloved and unloving, and peace with a smile. I lead by example: my offerings of light are invitations to shine.

3. I am radically responsible for who I am.
Sometimes enlightened, at times enraged, I am a human graced with the divine responsibility of making this world a better place. The past and future alike benefit from my unwavering presence. I am here with a mission to serve.

Your wisdom sometimes looks like rage and this, too, can be used as fuel for sacred activism.
4. I vow to love.
Yesterday is asleep and tomorrow is a dream. Today I give the world the best of me. If I can give just a little, I give wholeheartedly. Even a little is a lot when love leads—and love is that “little” thing the world needs.

5. I am a peace activist.
Through the way I live I give love a voice. I do not fight or force; I radiate peace and let those who resonate come to me. Peace is the first and last choice I make today. Peace is my way.
