A Daily Affirmation for Peace Within: I Am Grateful
Gratitude allows us to show up in the present moment with a quiet knowing that all is well. To help you feel that peace inside, read this affirmation. You don't need to forgive and forget all the terrible things that happened before you can say, "I am grateful for the constellation of my life."
“The world has enough beautiful mountains and meadows, spectacular skies and serene lakes. It has enough lush forests, flowered fields, and sandy beaches. It has plenty of stars and the promise of a new sunrise and sunset every day. What the world needs more of is people to appreciate and enjoy it.” – Michael Josephson
A daily affirmation for peace: I am grateful just to be here.
Through gratitude, I am expansive enough to see how deeply my soul has been woven into the fabric of conscious life.
I imagine what it feels like to be connected to everything. I imagine that everyone is my brother, my sister, a child. There, judgment stops and wonder begins. I feel like I’m participating in life, like everything on the surface was fused together a long time ago.
This surrendering brings me back home, so I can participate in life with grace by my side.
I am open to the abundance that's always available, and I dip my toes in its endless ocean. There’s space for everything under the moon and sun, including me.
I stand humbled and in awe for all it's taken to get me here.
"There is a calmness to a life lived in gratitude, a quiet joy." – Ralph H. Blum
A few more ways to express your gratitude...
- Capture your appreciation in writing. It could be every night or once a month, but keep your journal alive with the beatings of my heart.
- Honor mindful living. As you strengthen your awareness of your thoughts, words, and actions, you'll see all the gifts of being here.
- Throw your cares to the Universe. Don’t give up on what matters to you, but stay flexible in the ways you walk the journey. Ask for guidance. You can appreciate and honor, the process and still get done what you need to get done.
- Write thank you notes. When you need a lift, consider all the ways someone has helped you along your path, and tell them.
