10 Love-Driven Affirmations to Make the World a Better Place

If you want to make the world a better place, but you need some encouragement, these affirmations are for you. How you live *your* life is the greatest way you contribute to the whole. Who knows who you’ll inspire...

With every move you make, you leave something in your wake. Make that something conscious today, and choose to make the world a better place on purpose.

It's what you're here to do. Trust in that.

Oh, and if you already know you want to start your day *your* way, get my book Morning Affirmations. You'll wake up with hope and purpose beating in your heart, before anyone else has a say. So you can make the difference you're here to make.

10 Affirmations to Inspire You to Make the World a Better Place

1. I treat myself like a friend.

By being true and good to myself, I contribute a more powerful presence of authentic goodness to the world around me. When I allow myself to be enough, I inspire in others that same freedom. The loving kindness I cultivate within myself serves the people around me too.

2. I love to love.

I do not love because I expect anything in return. I do not love to be loved. I love because I choose to love and I choose to be love.

When we love to love, rather than love to be loved, we step into a realm of abundance where love is just our natural state, and we don't need to fight for what we are.

3. I intend to learn more about what I don’t understand.

Instead of turning away from what I don’t like, I stay and see what I can learn. Instead of dismissing what I don’t understand, I invite a friendly conversation about it. If someone is causing suffering in me, I stop blaming and start asking how I can grow through this relationship.

4. I make space for more goodness to flow through.

I am making space for more light to come through the windows, more love to enter each room, and more peace to grow in every corner of my home. I hold a vision of compassion and look for the helpers in times of tragedy. I become a helper. I make the world better by trusting that there is still light to be seen, and then I become a light.

5. I am a harbor for love.

I am a vessel of love and no darkness can sink my ship. I don’t wait for the night to shroud my vision; I keep a light on in my heart so I can be a guiding star. When others are in need, I vow to be a safe haven for us all.

Not only do we need to love more people, we need to love people more. And not just that—we need to love on purpose, with fewer conditions standing in our way.

6. I am a healing presence.

The more I work on healing my relationship with myself, the more capable I become of healing my relationships with others. My imperfections are worthy of compassion. My wounds are worthy of being healed.

7. My passion for a loving world serves a loving world.

What I wish I saw more of in the world is a reflection of what I can give, and of what my heart desperately wants to give. There is always something I can do to serve; it is the quality of how I live that makes even the smallest acts of service endlessly valuable. I don’t need to be perfect to help; I just need to be passionate about why I am helping.

8. I greet fear with courage.

I don’t shy away from what hurts. I face suffering from the understanding that I am powerful enough to transform what I face. I shine like the sun and fill the valleys of despair with new life. My courage to show up creates infinite ripples in the pool of humanity.

Exhibiting love, compassion, and acceptance in the face of hatred, heartbreak, and hardship is the prerogative of the brave.

9. I’ve got my love cloak on.

My love cloak is a protective force field. If there’s negativity surrounding me, I keep love closer. I spread joy wherever I walk. I’m a powerful force for good everywhere I go. I’m clothed with grace and empowered to be a bigger light in the room. No negativity can mess with me today. I’m free to radiate peace without fear.

10. I was born to create.

I wasn’t born simply to react to what’s already visible. I am a creator at heart, and I am capable of creating something new that doesn’t yet exist. I am capable of building up what is now small. I can turn the invisible into the visible. I stand resilient and sure in what I was born to create.
