10 Mini Poems to Brighten Your Mind, and Your Life
Poetry heals on so many levels and for so many reasons. Here are some "mini poems" to brighten up your day. May you find sunshine where you're cold and moonlight where you're lost... light wherever you need it most.
“I always believed that whatever had to be written would somehow get itself written.” – Seamus Heaney
10 Mini Poems, Just Because Inspiration Feels So Good
1. Home
Home lives in a roomy space
Inside my heart.
I would say it is
Part of me, but I know that
It is me.
2. Strength
To be
Gentle it may be
Necessary,
First, to be
Strong.
3. Decisions
Love is sometimes the
Hardest
Decision, but it is
Always the
Highest
Calling.
4. Humbled
As soon as I bow to
Heartbreak
I feel honored too.
Because
You can lose
Your identity but
You can’t lose
Your truth.
5. Enough
To the soul
It is well
Even while the
Mind fights, the
Heart hides, and the
Body cries.
Somehow,
Somewhere—
Something remains.
6. Blessings
People “have it” better than me.
I have it better than some people.
I hurt more than some.
Some hurt more than me.
Some hurt just like me.
Some hurt differently than me.
I am rich and I am poor.
I am sad and I am happy.
I am grateful and I break.
I want to help and I need help.
I am not better.
I am not worse.
I am different.
I feel the intense union.
Can we hear each other?
Can we help each other?
Can we be blessings?
7. Purpose
We are
Proud because
It was
Hard.
8. Heart
If you could
Feel their
Heart
From the inside,
You might feel
Differently.
9. Seeds
Sometimes,
From scratch
Is the
Best
Place to start.
10. Freedom
Stop
Fighting for
Peace.
Release your imprisoned
Soul.
Only
Love will take you
Home.
